Working together

Start with the problem. Leave with a clearer next step.

You may have a product to improve, evidence to interpret, a study to run, or a team that needs scientific support. We shape the engagement around the decision and what you already know.

  1. Your challenge
  2. Focused scientific work
  3. A useful next step
Support shaped around the question you bring.

Ways to work together

What the work can deliver.

A focused engagement or continuing support. The scope and outputs are agreed around your question.

01

Scientific Problem Solving

Find out why a product, consumer response, or research result is not behaving as expected and what is worth investigating next.

Useful when: Results are surprising, a product issue crosses disciplines, or the explanation is still unclear.

You receive: A problem map, the leading explanations, and a recommendation for what to investigate or change next.

What this can involve

Review the product, the conditions of use, the people involved, how responses were measured, and what changed. Separate observations from assumptions before deciding on another study.

02

Evidence Review & Synthesis

Bring studies, data, and literature together to establish what is known, where findings disagree, and what that means for your decision.

Useful when: Reports disagree, the literature is scattered, or a claim needs a closer scientific review.

You receive: An evidence review that explains what is supported, what is uncertain, and where the conclusion must stop.

What this can involve

The review can include literature, protocols, controls, participant-level data where appropriate, statistical outputs, technical evidence, and vendor interpretations. The depth is agreed around the decision.

03

Research Strategy & Design

Turn the decision you face into a study plan: what to measure, what to compare, whom to involve, and how to interpret the result.

Useful when: A business decision is clear, but the study question, comparison, or method is not.

You receive: A research plan or study protocol with defined outcomes, comparisons, sampling, analysis, and decision criteria.

What this can involve

Define what result would change the decision, then specify the people, settings, time points, measures, and precision required. Methods follow those requirements.

04

Custom Research

Design and deliver sensory, consumer, and behavioural research, from a focused product comparison to studies of repeated and real-world use.

Useful when: You need a focused product test, a consumer study, or research across repeated and real-world use.

You receive: Study delivery, analysis, and an interpretation that connects the findings to the original question.

What this can involve

Work may combine sensory evaluation, qualitative and quantitative consumer research, behavioural or actual-use studies, physiological measurement, and mixed methods. Facilities, participant access, and specialist partners are arranged to suit the study.

Scientific Advisory

Add senior scientific judgement to your team, whether you need an independent review, guidance on a research programme, or ongoing specialist support.

Useful when: Your team needs an independent scientific review, specialist input, or ongoing senior research support.

You receive: Agreed scientific guidance, reviews, or programme leadership, with recommendations your team can use.

What this can involve

Support can include research roadmaps, partner oversight, interpretation, methods review, team development, evidence standards, and communication across R&D, insights, marketing, quality, and regulatory functions.

Evidence & claims

What can this evidence responsibly support?

A product-development decision and a public claim may require different evidence. We help teams check whether the study design, people studied, comparison, outcomes, and conditions support the conclusion they want to draw.

Experience in regulated-product research, claims substantiation, regulatory affairs, and ASTM standards informs this work. Good Clinical Practice and Good Laboratory Practice requirements are considered when relevant to the project.

Before we begin

A few practical questions.

How developed does my brief need to be?

We can begin with a clear study request or an open question. Share what you are seeing, what you expected, and what you need to decide; we can establish the useful starting point together.

Can you work with our team or research agency?

Yes. Support can complement internal researchers, provide an independent review, or help plan and oversee work with research partners. Roles and scientific responsibility are agreed at the start.

Do you advise, run studies, or both?

Both. Engagements range from reviewing an existing evidence base to designing and delivering new research. The right arrangement depends on the question, methods, facilities, and specialist support required.

How is a project scoped?

We first clarify the objective, the information already available, and the decision ahead. From there, we agree the work, outputs, responsibilities, timing, and fee before the engagement begins.

Is the work remote or on site?

Bajec Senseworks is based in Hamilton, Ontario. Work is delivered remotely, with selected on-site engagements when the question or team needs call for them.

What should I share in the first message?

A short, non-confidential description is enough. Keep proprietary formulations, confidential data, and sensitive information out of the initial inquiry; appropriate arrangements can be discussed before sharing more.

A useful next conversation

Bring the question, evidence, or study request.

We can identify the right starting point and agree what useful progress would look like.
